Looking for health insurance for you and your family. We can help.  There is a great deal of confusion as to what options you have available when it comes to securing health insurance for your family.  We can help you understand the eligibility timelines necessary to apply for Healthcare.Gov as well as assist you in evaluating the merits of whether a more affordable Short Term Medical plan is a viable option for your personal needs.

Medicare

You can get Medicare when you turn 65, after age 65 if you are covered by an employer's health plan and elect to retire, or before age 65 if you are disabled and given Medicare. We are experts at guiding you through the entire process of signing up for Medicare AND selecting a Medicare Supplement, Medicare RX plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan.  Let's schedule a meeting and get started.  We recommend you start the process three months before you want your new coverage to start.  For Individuals turning 65, your coverage starts the 1st day of your birthday month.  If your birthday is on the 1st of the month, Medicare starts your coverage a month BEFORE your birthday.  Of course, if your circumstances are different we will address them when we meet.  IMPORTANT NOTE: If you do NOT elect Medicare Part B and/or a Medicare Part D drug plan when you first eligible, you will have to pay penalties in addition to your monthly premium if you enroll later. Medicare is complicated, let us help you navigate the process.

Today, it's quite normal for many of us to have a per person health insurance deductible of $5,000 or more.  Plus, in addition to the deductible, you may be responsible for an additional percentage of your medical bills which is called coinsurance.  Once the deductible is met, the insurance carrier pays a percentage of the bill and you also pay a percentage of the bill.  Common coinsurances maybe 80%/20%, 70%/30%, 60%/40% or even 50%/50%.  Once you pay your DEDUCTIBLE and COINSURANCE you have met your OUT OF POCKET MAXIMUM for that ONE person. For many of us, your out of pocket per person could bye $8,000 or more. If you have family coverage, you're out of pocket could be double or even triple that.

An ACCIDENT PROTECTION PLAN can give you peace of mind knowing that if anyone in your family receives care for an accident at a doctor's office, urgent care or hospital emergency room with 72 hours of the accident, the bills for said accidents are paid by the accident bank you buy.  The plan is simple in that you select the amount of protection you want and when you have an accident, the accident "bank" reimburses you for all claims up the maximum accident bank.  It's a very affordable way to protect yourself from rising out of pocket expenses that come up.  Plus, knowing that your family is covered for sports accidents, auto accidents, home accidents means that should someone be injured and you need to seek care, you have peace of mind knowing that the bills are paid and you can focus on your loved one's medical and emotional needs.
